NRT's or Nicotine Replacement Therapies can be helpful in your quit. Here are the
most common NRT's.
**Nicotine patch:The patch contains a special nicotine rate-controlling membrane. This
membrane releases nicotine into your bloodstream through your skin. The patch is designed to provide a lower level of nicotine
to your blood than cigarettes, and allows you to gradually do away with your body's need for nicotine.
If you smoke more than 10 cigarettes a day, follow the 10 week program. Use Step 1 (21mg.)
for 6 weeks, Step 2 (14mg.) for 2 weeks, and Step 3 (7mg.) for 2 weeks.
If you smoke 10 or less a day, follow the 8 week program. Use Step 2 (14mg.) for 6 weeks
and Step 3 (7mg.) for 2 weeks. Click here for more information on which program is right for you.

**Nicotine Gum: Nicotine gum is sugar-free and chewing pieces provide nicotine to your
system - they work as an aid to help you quit smoking by reducing nicotine withdrawal symptoms.
Nicotine gum is gum but, you don’t chew it like chewing gum. Just take a few slow,
deliberate bites (15 or so) until you get a peppery taste and a "tingle". Then park it between your cheek and gum.
For the first 6 weeks, 1 piece every 1-2 hours. During weeks 7 to 9, use 1 piece every
2 to 4 hours. Finally, during weeks 10 to 12, use 1 piece every 4 to 8 hours.
Do not use more than 24 pieces per day.
If you smoke more than 24 cigarettes a day, use the 4mg. strength.
If you smoke less than 25 cigarettes a day, use the 2mg. strength.

*Commit Lozenges: Commit Lozenges contain nicotine, so as you use it, nicotine is released and absorbed through
your mouth tissues. This helps to reduce your nicotine cravings and helps relieve some of the withdrawal symptoms you may
be experiencing, like irritability or nervousness. Commit Lozenges deliver a high, safe amount of medicine. And because Commit
doesn’t contain the harmful tar or carbon monoxide found in cigarette smoke, using it doesn’t expose you to the
same health risks as smoking. More importantly, Commit works to wean you off nicotine. As you go through our 12-week program,
you use fewer and fewer lozenges until eventually, you don’t need any at all.
